Counsel

Growing in spiritual maturity is a journey. There are no shortcuts to becoming spiritually mature, we simply practice spiritual disciplines every day and over time we begin to grow in the likeness of Jesus. The Scriptures teach that we were made for community and that we are better when we grow in unity with others. One of the greatest gifts we have been given are other believers who have spiritual wisdom to share with us.

We all need people in our lives who are helping us grow in Christ. The wisdom of others is vital to our growth and we are wise to be cautious about those we allow to influence our lives. Be discerning as you build community with others. Seek those who have evidence of spiritual fruit and then enjoy the journey of shared wisdom and wise counsel.
