One of the greatest gifts that God gives to us are the resources we need to live our best lives. At the moment of our salvation, God gives to us everything we need for life and godliness. But our struggles are often the result of not accessing those resources we have been given and instead relying on our own strength.
The writer of Proverbs reminds us that we are to trust in the Lord and not rely on our own strength. The great irony of that verse is found in the idea that we don’t really have our own strength. All our strength comes from God and He gives us access to His strength so that we can live a life that honors Him.
Remember today that you have all that you need to live the greatest life you can imagine. Resist the temptation to resource yourself and instead lean into all that God has given you. When you trust in Him, you will discover the abundant life He has promised.
